Retail Therapy: Latest Purchases!

Saturday, February 12, 2011
Hi lovely people!  These are the clothes and accessories I've bought over the last few weeks (trying to ignore all the pretty spring clothes!).  My favourite purchase is the New Look sixties style tunic dress, with big sleeves and buttoned cuffs, I've completey fallen in love with this gorgeous style, it looks so much better on than in the pictures!  I will be buying a few more of these styles as it is perfect for the transition from winter to spring, I'm wearing this with leggings or thick tights and boots or brogues.  My love for knitted dresses continues with this military dress which was half price in the sales as was the bobble scarf.  When I saw these Topshop boots, I knew I wouldn't be able to resist as I've looking for this style in black everywhere, they look quite high but are so comfortable, love them! The same goes for this cute little satchel, this will be my shopping bag as its not too big and can be worn across the body, I just can't walk around with large heavy bags like some ladies I've seen with bags the size of a suitcase!  Also bought a jersey snood from topshop as loved the print, is really light and can be worn indoors when its cold, especially at work!  I'm really liking New Look at the moment, they really have improved their range of blouses, sometimes their quality can be poor though, but this peter pan one is gorgeous!  Lastly, I thought I'd invest in a diary that would last me a long time instead of buying a new one every year, it wasn't cheap but I love it, the gorgeous red leather chameleon filofax is in the mini size, there's no way I'd carry around anything bigger! (think I need to strengthen my arms as clearly have issues!)

Last but not least, just wanted to thank the lovely Katie over at Katiecakes, she held a delicious Hotel Chocolat giveway which I won, so surprised!  I have already eaten some of them, oops!  If you want to drool over some gorgeous cakes and bakes, then you must check out Katiecakes blog!

Thanks everyone for all your wonderful comments! xxx

Retail Therapy: More Winter Sales Bargains!

Hi lovely people! Just want to say hello and welcome to all my new followers!  Think it may possibly have something to do with the gorgeous Victoria from Vipxo featuring me on her Lookbook Of The Week, I was amazed and stunned that anyone would do that to be honest as I don't think I'm that fashionable lol, it was really lovely of Victoria who has an amazing style herself, please check out her fab blog Vipxo!

This is just a quick post to show the rest of the things I purchased in the sales.  There were other things but they had to be returned, I was gutted about the Kurt Geiger leopard print heels as they were slightly too loose, I really wanted to keep them as they were just beautiful!

The sheer black blouse with a contrasting bow is by Malene Birger, I've never bought from this brand before but they do have some lovely things!  The House of Harlow Sunburst necklace was a real bargain, I've always wanted to buy this gorgeous pendant necklace, love almost everything from this jewellery brand!  The Topshop cardigan wasn't in the sales but I just thought I'd show you anyway, also bought a few more skinny jeans from there!  Oh, I just remembered, one of the skinny jeans I ordered were perfect I thought, but when I opened the package, they looked tiny!  The waist was so small, yet the label said it was my size, I thought I'd try them anyway thinking it was me seeing things wrong, big mistake, I could only get them half way up my legs!  So I measured the waist and they were a 24 inch waist, haha I've got no chance!!! Obviously they were labeled wrong and will be returned!  Anyone else have any funny fashion related experiences?

Retail Therapy: Winter Sales Bargains!

Thursday, January 6, 2011
Hi Lovely people!  So I've finally got most of my sales purchases that I ordered online, love it!  I started my sales shopping early on Xmas eve!  Well, it was dead at work, so I just shopped all day!  I only actually went out shopping twice over the holidays, I prefer to shop online, as much as I love to try things on first, I just couldn't face the manic sales shoppers everywhere!  There were some great sales on but some were disappointing as not really reduced as much as I'd like them to be, but overall I got some good bargains, my favourites are the Mulberry clutch, love their bags, Marc Jacobs laptop case and Topshop boots, perfect for going out!  Think I might possibly take the Zara coat back, it's not really a winter coat as not very warm, we'll see!  I bought a floral storage box and trinket box for my dressing table, there were so many gorgeous interior accessories I wanted to buy in the sales but I restrained myself as just ordered a new bed and mattress, the current one is getting old and uncomfortable and as you know new one's don't come cheap!  This isn't everything, I did buy PJ's, slippers etc, but you don't wanna see that boring stuff do you? No!  The majority of online purchases have been sent back as didn't look right or just changed my mind, my house looked like a store in the sales, clothes and accessories strewn everywhere, so glad its all gone back now, it was really stressing me out!  I'm definitely buying more quality and less quantity this time, well it is for me anyway!  There are few items still to be delivered, like the Sex and the City Box Set , it was a mega bargain for only £29.99! (sorry not my picture below), however, the price has gone back up since I bought it, what's that about??!!  Thanks everyone for taking the time to read my blog! x

Retail Therapy: New Coat & More Purchases!

Tuesday, December 14, 2010
Hi everyone!  I've been itching to do a Retail Therapy post as last one was a month ago!  Since then, I've bought so much but also returned alot too!  So here's all the purchases I've kept and am really trying to hold out for the sales as I know I'll go mad!  The first thing I need to celebrate is the fact I've found a coat at long last, woohoo!  I'm sure you all know I've been searching all over the world for a coat that fits and looks right on me (slight exaggeration!), and the endless amounts of coats I've purchased and been disappointed with time and time again!  This wool coat is surprisingly from Asos, normally their coats don't 'hang' right on me, I love the military style and it doesn't drown me at all as I'm really petite!

Also bought a few things from Forever 21, some casual check shirts and cardigan, I've shopped there many times before it opened in the UK, the clothes are ok, not great quality, some of the knitwear is quite nice, the jewellery is really poorly made and you have to be careful what you buy, prices are cheap and sometimes randomly priced?
My obsession with pussy bow blouses continues, love this one from New Look, also bought some cable knit leggings which I've been lusting after for ages!  The grey wool/flannel dress and Religion leopard print scarf are from the Clothes Show.  Topshop are selling some really gorgeous knitwear and winter accessories this season, the brown leopard print scarf/shawl is huge and so warm, also bought some black ankle length Baxter skinny jeans (which are not pictured here) and this pretty leaf bracelet.  Last but not least, these warm, soft wool arm warmers are from Warehouse, Wow, that was alot to get through, but it's a months worth of purchases!  Will I be able to control my urge to buy anthing before the sales start? I will try really hard! haha!
